In the article, Understanding Republican Cruelty, Paul Krugman states
that TrumpCare will be worse for many more Americans than it will be benefitting them. By taking
health insurance away from millions of people and making it much more expensive
it leaves tons of people in a hole. People fear that they will lose health care
and dread the day that they will have to live this nightmare. Krugman mentions
that they would use the money that they saved on healthcare to cut taxes, but
this would also have a negative effect on many people. He fears for the day
that this all becomes a reality. When Trump punishes, the poor and working
class and cuts taxes for the rich.
I agree with what Paul Krugman
proposed through out this entire article. I too fear for the day when the poor
become poorer and the rich become richer. If health insurance gets taken away
then many lives will be lost due to the inability of those who can not afford
the proper treatments and medications that are needed. If the rich are already
rich why should they not share their wealth and help others in need. I don’t believe
it is necessary for Trump to cut taxes which are dollars that are used for
healthcare. It is needed by many, and relied on by even more. If Trump were to cut taxes for the rich
it would make a small difference in their lives when in reality it could be
helping out so many more. Trump’s plan would benefit far few than it would
hurt. It is nerve racking to see what our future holds and how we will over
come this as Americans.
